Anxiety

It just showed up one day and demanded all of my attention

I tried to look away and it used “What if” to swing my gaze back in it’s direction

Joy and Peace sit with me on either side

It doesn’t want me to know them

What if its not the sun overhead, but a million shiny shoes waiting to fall
